[SMM Analysis: Net Alumina Exports Reached 173,000 mt in December, 365,800 mt in 2024] According to Chinese customs, China exported 188,300 mt of alumina in December 2024, with total exports reaching 1.7857 million mt from January to December 2024. Alumina imports in December 2024 were 15,300 mt, down 84.6% MoM and 94.3% YoY, with total imports amounting to 1.4199 million mt from January to December 2024, a YoY decrease of 2.3%. Net alumina exports in December were 173,000 mt, with total net exports reaching 365,800 mt from January to December 2024. (Based on 8-digit HS code: 28182000)

SMM  January 20 - According to Chinese customs, China exported 188,300 mt of alumina in December 2024, with cumulative exports reaching 1.7857 million mt in January-December 2024. Alumina imports in December 2024 were 15,300 mt, down 84.6% MoM and 94.3% YoY, with cumulative imports totaling 1.4199 million mt in January-December 2024, a YoY decrease of 2.3%. Net alumina exports in December 2024 were 173,000 mt, with cumulative net exports reaching 365,800 mt in January-December 2024 (based on 8-digit HS code: 28182000).
